Wild Lines Red Fox Christmas Card

Red foxes aren’t endangered; in fact, they are common in the UK and are one of the few species that have adapted superbly to living in urban environments. But it wouldn’t be much of a British wildlife series if I didn’t include them!

The red fox is a hunter and scavenger, whose Christmas dinner could comprise anything from a pile of earthworms and beetles to birds and gingerbread men. They are social animals that live in loose family groups. Many of us hear their delightful carolling throughout the winter months, when they bark and screech into the night sky to attract mates.
